Kwara United FC will kick off their 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) campaign at home against Ikorodu City FC. This was confirmed following the official matchday 1 draw conducted on Monday in Abuja.
The new season is scheduled to commence on August 22, 2025, featuring several thrilling opening day fixtures across the country:

Kwara United will be aiming to start the season on a positive note in front of their home supporters at the George Innih Stadium, Ilorin.
Speaking ahead of the opener, Club Chairman Mr. Kumbi Titiloye, through the General Manager Mallam Bashir Badawiy, expressed the club’s readiness for the new season.
He assured fans that the team is focused on improving on last season’s performance, with renewed determination and strategic preparations already underway.
“We are optimistic about this new season. The technical crew and players are working hard, and we believe we can build on the momentum from last season to achieve even greater success,” Badawiy stated.
The Harmony Boys will be looking to make an early statement of intent as they chase glory in the highly competitive NPFL.
